Charlotte’s favorite part of our trip was exploring San Juan Island. Rose’s favorite part was all the hiking and not knowing exactly what we would find at the top of the hill or end of the trail.

My favorite part was driving through Olympic National Park and seeing all the beautiful mountains and plants. All along the route were small yellow and white flowers that contrasted with the mountains and plants around them, creating a light and cheerful mood. Sometimes it is the small details that make the biggest difference.

I loved the views, especially Hurricane Ridge! Being so high up, seeing the mountains all around me, and feeling the cool breeze was like nothing I had ever felt before.

This concluded our summer vacation and was a great way to start off another school year!
